I’m so excited to share that Etiqa has invited Izwan & Partners to come on board as the sole exclusive legal partner for its first insurtech accelerator to be launched next week.
Etiqa is a leading regional insurance player with legal presence in many South East Asian countries. I first got to know Amran Hassan, the current CEO of Etiqa Digital by chance on social media (it was Twitter if I’m not wrong). Immediately the next day I got interviewed on my legal and startup practice on his podcast Tech This Way.
Watch Tower & Friends (WTF) Accelerator does not need any introduction anymore. They are run by Kashminder Singh (Kash) and Sam Shafie (Sam) and they also run Pitchin, one of the top-performing equity crowdfunding platforms in Malaysia regulated by the Securities Commission.
The official launch will be held in The Orbit, Bangsar South next Monday, 14 September 2020 between 2pm – 4pm. At the launch, I will also be sharing a short overview of what early stage startups should look at especially with a focus toward insurtech like dealing with capital requirements, founders issues, and regulatory compliance.
Participants will get access to Etiqa’s ecosystem and network of mentors including by programme partners which includes Pitchin, PwC, MDEC, MaGIC, Cradle Fund.
Signing up is free and the registration will be open from 1 September 2020 until 14 September 2020.
